How a hand plays out
Each player gets two private cards, and five community cards are dealt in stages. You make the best five-card hand from any combination of seven cards.
Hand rankings
From strongest to weakest: royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, pair and high card.
Betting rounds
There are four rounds of betting: pre-flop, flop, turn and river. You can fold, call or raise, and the best hand or the last player standing wins the pot.
